You'll have to forgive the no-face in this pic, but I really wanted to let you see the detail on the tube top underneath the blouse. I really like that tube top, it's got the design on one side and it's reversable so it's just green on the other.
Today we're back to my staple of dark-wash denim, too. The flowery sock has Minnie Mouse on the ankle, and the other one has ducks with the 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' poses, with quotes that say "I don't wanna talk to you!"
TJ's question yesterday was about how we see ourselves in the same outfit from one day to the next depending on what mood we're in. Today's tops are a perfect example of that dichotomy. I tried the green shirt on a few days ago intending to use it in my Stockholming post only to practically rip it off in disgust. First it was too long, then it was too tight, I couldn't find anything to wear over it, etc. It's frustrating, because given an average day I really do like the top.
Another topic that's been discussed in recent days is the topic of make-up. I love make-up and probably own way too much of it, but I find that I'm only using it once or twice a week. I mean, every girl has her staples, and lip gloss is never too far out of reach for me.
Hey, there's a good question. What is one item for you that you can never be without? It doesn't even have to pertain to make-up. As I said, I always have lip gloss lying around, but another thing that's permanently with me no matter where I go is a set of nail clippers, a pen, and a pack of gum. You?

Makeup-wise it would have to be mascara. As for just general stuff, my water bottle, my glasses/contact lens case/solution, and my phone (and a pen, and a bottle of Advil, and my iTouch... hehe).
ReplyDeleteI haven't put makeup on in over a year... Maybe that's something to add to a Stockholming picture someday. Maybe. What I always have in my pockets, without fail, is a plastic bag. But that's for the dog. And most days I have some homemade lip balm that someone made for me.
ReplyDeleteThat top is so pretty!
Ditto Chibi on the mascara, and usually a journal. I'm a nightmare without something in which to take notes.
ReplyDeleteThe tube top is great--I always steer clear because I odn't like my arms, nad I'm ashamed to say that until you and TJ mentioned it, I didn't think to use them as chemises. Good thinking!
Those are some funky colours in that tube top. Like Katie, I must admit I've never thought of wearing one as a chemise - so I think the last time I wore a tube top was more than 20 years ago. I may have to try this new concept.
ReplyDeleteI can't be without my cellphone, lipstick and a book. Although now I'm reading on my phone so that helps (and I've found it useful for taking notes, too). I also try to keep a small packet of wipes on hand.
